Marangi
Strewn across over 600 hectares in the Golaghat district of Assam, Marangi is a family-owned estate with an emphasis on making high quality teas.
The family that owns the estate, a family well known to me, has been involved in tea plantation and production for approximately 65 years, and Marangi was added to their stable in 1982. Due to certain natural advantages, Marangi quickly went on to become the flagship estate of the group.
Located in Golaghat, an area known for producing top notch teas, the estate through which the river Dhunsiri runs, contains high quality clones cultivated especially for the production of Orthodox tea. One can safely say that Marangi is one of the world's leading producers of this variety of Assam tea.
This tea was grown exclusively for Yatra Tea Company by our friends at Marangi!
