High elevation Darjeeling estates are known for producing superior quality teas, and at Gopaldhara planting continues to be carried out in the vacant high elevation areas.
Tea bushes are planted at a elevation of 5,500-7,000 ft. making Gopaldhara one of the highest elevated estates in the world. Moreover, there is a commitment to replanting with new varieties of high quality clonal tea bushes thereby ensuring a premium product, no matter the type of tea.
